PRO-LIFE PRESENTATIONS:
TESS-TIMONY of HOPE – Nina’s internationally popular presentation will take you to the heart of the pro-life vs. pro-choice issues of today. You will hear firsthand why Nina did not abort her fourth child even when her own life was compromised while carrying a baby with Down syndrome and heart defects.—(This is Nina's most requested presentation) Deuteronomy 30:19, 20
Nina's nationally popular presentation, "Tess-timony" will take you to the heart of the Pro-life vs. Pro-Choice issues of today. You will hear first hand why this mother of three boys did not abort her fourth child, a girl, after hearing the doctor announce, "the baby you are carrying has Down Syndrome and two heart defects". You will also learn why Nina did not abort her baby even when her own life was gravely threatened during her seventh month of pregnancy. Instead of undergoing a partial birth abortion to save her life as some experts would advocate, her pro-life doctor saved both mother and baby! Tiny 2 lb. 11 oz. Joannah Tess Fuller was born 10 weeks early with many complications, yet, both mother and baby were survivors of the real kind! Today, Tess is a beautiful little girl with long brown hair and sparkling brown eyes. As Nina says, "Tess is a delightful gift all wrapped up in a beautiful Down Syndrome package" .
Nina and Tess are in popular demand at Pro-Life banquets, crisis pregnancy centers, ladies retreats, youth groups and church events around the country. Nina has shared the platform with well known former abortionist Carol Everett, and the presidential and senatorial candidate Ambassador Alan Keyes. She has also shared her message of hope as a guest on several radio talk shows and has been interviewed by many in the media, including Marie Claire magazine. Focus on the Family has published Nina's story, "Our Tess-timony in their booklet, "When Loves Wins". Nina and Tess have been to Washington D.C. to work with J.C. Watts and Citizens Forum, presenting "living proof' to members of Congress about their victorious experience in choosing life instead of death through abortion. Together, the Fullers are touching hearts and changing lives of people across our nation! |
MY DAUGHTER’S BIRTHMOTHER IS MY HERO – Loved by two mommies—The Fuller family’s fifth addition (through adoption) of their youngest child who also has Down Syndrome. Jeremiah 29:11
GOD SAID WHAT? – Dealing with a crisis pregnancy and God’s surprise calling in our lives – Luke 1:26-55
UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN – Commitment to God in spite of adverse circumstances—Luke 1:31-38
EVERY LIFE COUNTS – Knowing that 90% of babies who are pre-natally diagnosed with Down Syndrome are terminated because they have one extra chromosome, this session will dispel the myths associated with Down syndrome, using the truths of twelve specific Scripture passages to counter the twelve myths typically portrayed by old stereotypes.

SPECIAL STRENGTH COMMUNICATIONS
Special Tips for a Successful Event
1. Network ASAP with other churches and organizations in a 50 mile radius
2. Select two options of dates (for example: Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon) and the calendar dates that you and two other groups could host events.
4. Host Church/Organization complete, sign and return Speaking Contract (see attached document) along with the deposit to secure your event date(s)
***If more than one organization hosts an event, please indicate thorough details on the Speaking Contract. (Host # 1 will be the contact person between other hosts and Special Strength Communications. Host #1 will also handle financial details between other hosts. Additional hosts will be responsible to Host #1 for their share of costs.)
5. Choose a Event Location
What locations would be convenient for people?
Here are some suggestions for venue:
- The place where your local group already meets
- Your local library may have rooms for rent
- Local community centre
- Local high schools & colleges often have rooms or auditoriums for rent on weekends
6. An ideal workshop location has the following:
- Ample parking for 50 or more
- Room that can seat 50 + people
- A/C power outlets for laptop
- Microphones 2—for speakers
- Screen (at least 12 ft preferred)
7. Promote WITHIN your group
The best way to promote your event with Nina Fuller is to put the information in front of as many interested people as possible. To promote within your group, choose at least 3 of the following actions:
- Post Flyer or Workshop Invitation on your website
- Email the Workshop Invitationto your members
- Include the Workshop Flyer in your group newsletter
- Mention the Workshop at upcoming group event
- Attendees from within the host group make up at least half of all attendees. Make sure your group has a chance to see the invitation at least 3-6 times prior to the workshop. It often takes this many times for people to notice it and to commit to attending.
8. Promote OUTSIDE your group
Print your flyer and post it in public places where interested people may frequently show up.
Some examples include:
- Libraries
- Schools
- Community centers
- Churches throughout your community and nearby communities
- Easter Seals, Therapy Centers, Parent Support Groups
- Grocery stores community board (normally at the front entrance)
- Public health club (YMCA, wellness centers)
- Doctors' offices
- Pharmacies
- Health food stores
- Be sure to post a flyer in the location of your workshop!
Open the attached file called Flyer. You can then customize it with your group’s date, time, location and specific details.
9. Advertise your workshop
- Consider the following places to advertise:
- Local papers
- Other associations (look in your phone book for a list of associations, usually at the very front of the book)
- Magazines for parents
- Government/community web sites – often there is a free community events listing page
Open the file called Workshop Ad. You can then customize it with your group’s date, time, location and specific details.
You’ll also find attached a file called Events Listing for Local Paper. Send this to your local papers.
10. Public Relations
- Your local paper will likely print an announcement about your event with Nina Fuller in their community events section free of charge. Some papers print calendars once a week, others every day. To avoid missing an opportunity to be listed, you should send the information at least 3-4 weeks in advance. Fax or email it to the Editor or Community Editor.
Attached is the Events Listing for Local Paper.
11. Word of mouth
- Talk, talk, talk about this event. The more people that know about it, the better your attendance will be. Tell people you meet at the doctor’s office, at your workplace, in the grocery store, anywhere that you might meet someone who would know someone else to tell about the workshop.
- Keep a few of the flyers in your purse/briefcase (or in your car), just in case!
- Make sure others in your group are doing this too.
12. Radio Interviews with Special Guest Nina Fuller
Nina Fuller of Special Strength Communications is available to do interviews by phone and no additional costs to you with mainstream and/or Christian radio stations either live or taped in advance of your event.
13. To Fee or Not to Fee? That is the Question!
If your organization wishes to collect a fee to aid in covering event expenses, we do have the ability to take in funds via PayPal on your behalf. This will also encourages people to keep their commitment to attend!
14. Boost Attendance
It’s been proven time and again that most people leave their registration, or even the decision to attend a workshop, until the last 3-5 days before the event. This is difficult from a planning perspective, but it also gives you a chance to boost your attendance by reminding people about the event within the last week. The two best ways to do this are by personal telephone call and email.
- Telephone: We suggest dividing the list of your members (group members and any other interested parties you are aware of) between your group and each calling 10-20 people. If you get answering machines, just let them know the date, time, location and your number. You’ll be surprised at the amount of last-minute responses you get.
- Email: You can simply send a note by email to anyone on your list that may not have registered.
- A sample Email Reminder is attached and can be pasted into your email message.
15. Day of the Workshop
Plan to arrive at the location about an hour ahead of the start time. This will allow for room setup, including audio/video set up, refreshments, and then to greet any early arrivals.
Bring a camera—you’ll want to take pictures of the event for your group’s website or newsletter.
It will also be helpful to have pictures of the event for your local press release.
16. Media Follow up
Besides being inspired and encouraged by the turnout and resp
Besides being inspired and encouraged by the turnout and response to the workshop (and maybe a little tired!), you will want to maximize your efforts by taking this last step:
- Send a post event press release to your local papers. This press release will report what the turnout was, will include a quote from you or another member of your group, and include a picture from the workshop. If your Events Listing was not printed, the press release may be printed instead. Any publicity about YOUR group and the help that is available for parents and others is a good thing! Open the attached Post Workshop Press Release and customize it for your event. Fax or email it to the Editor of your local paper.

Do you need problem solving assistance? if so, do not hesitate to call.
We will do our best to accomodate your special needs, too!
Contact: Karen@specialstrength.com or call 1-888-884-4653 for help and encouragement!
We look forward to working with you!
All forms referred to on this web page will be e-mailed to your or your association after the Speaker Contract has been agreed to and signed.
